A very rare example from this American musical instrument workshop, known for brass but also violin family, and made right here in Illinois over a century ago.  Very good condition, normal player-wear of varnish throughout, showcasing the golden ground.

Tonal review:

  • Bright, personal tone
  • Sound has a "bite" - definition
  • Consistent, clear-cut response throughout the positions
