Violin by Orest Nakonechny, Salt Lake City 2009
This is one of Orest"s own hybrid models - you can see some characteristics of Stradivari as well as Guarneri Del Gesu, with the longer C-bouts and tight edges. Beautiful reddish brown varnish over a deep golden ground, this violin is a beautiful example of Orest"s work.

Tonally, this violin has a very warm overall tone, with a nicely brilliant E string. The sound is clear and dense, as one might expect from a Stradivari model. It is balanced and even on all 4 strings with great multilayered resonance. Lyrical with good power and projection and good soloistic qualities. [Edmund"s notes]

Our last violin by Orest sold very quickly, and to the very first person to try it out, so act quickly if you have interest in this example.
Price - $6800
