Blemished Instruments
These instruments have minor cosmetic blemishes that will not effect the playability of the instrument. In most cases, you would expect to collect such minor blemishes as these after playing your instrument for even just a few days or weeks! Our blemished instruments receive our full, world class setup and inspection, and are otherwise identical to cosmetically perfect instruments. They carry our full return privileges, 7-year warranty, and trade-in credit.

Trade-In Instruments
These instruments have been returned by players trading up to another fantastic StringWorks instrument as the player advances. All instruments go through a full inspection, restoration, and tonal adjustment, and most receive new strings and new bridges. Because StringWorks closely controls the market value by being the only seller of StringWorks instruments (new) worldwide, we can assure both continuation of quality and value in the open market.  Only instruments that are in very good to excellent condition are offered for sale to ensure your complete satisfaction, and wear is only cosmetic and has no effect on performance. They carry our full return privileges, 7-year warranty and trade-in credit.

Unique and Sample Instruments
Occasionally StringWorks will work closely with one of our existing workshops or a new workshop to continue to find the finest quality instruments, continuing to provide a tremendous value for our customers.  The best of these 'sample' and unique instruments are suitable for sale, and offered here as fantastic deal on a fully handmade instrument that likely was quite close to becoming a StringWorks instrument line.  Most are priced well below what they would have been if they had become a permanent line.  They carry our full return privileges, 7 year warranty, and
trade-in credit.
